Why take professional lessons?

While there are many ways to learn to learn a new skill, having a professionally trained or experienced instructor can help you reach your academic goals quicker. Our tutors will provide valuable feedback in regards to technique improvement, as well as detailed instruction that you can revisit after the session has ended.

When choosing a tutoring service, carefully consider the tutor’s educational background, state credentials, experience and specialty to ensure that you select the best person for the job.

When will I be charged for my lessons?

You will be charged for each lesson when you make the initial appointment.  This method assures our tutors of your commitment to this process, and also encourages session completion and full participation in each session.  If you are unable to meet with your tutor, you must contact our office at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled session.

How many lessons should I take?

The number of lessons that you take is completely up to you.  Some students only need a few lessons, while others may opt to work with a tutor for a long period of time.  We recommend that you take a minimum of 5 lessons before deciding that a particular tutor’s teaching style is, or is not, for you.  You are only responsible for paying for the tutoring sessions that you select.

Which lesson length is most effective?

Most tutoring sessions are an hour in length.  However, this timeframe can be shortened or expanded; depending on the needs of the student.  If the student is a child, a shorter lesson (1/2 an hour) should be selected to account for their general shorter attention span.

What if I want to extend my lesson curriculum beyond the quantities shown?

Students are encouraged to purchase several lesson with the same tutor, if they like.  However, please remember that the lessons must be pre-paid.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

Yes, if a student is not satisfied with our services, they can request a refund by sending a written refund request to customer_service@isbtechknow.com.  ISB Techknowledgies reserves the right to accept or reject all requests for cancellations, without exception.  If a refund request is approved, a refund will be issued within a 2 week period.
